Hey everyone. USC and LMU already underway here in Culver City. Trojans trail 1-0 after 1 and missing a lot of guys. Not sure if anyone's tuned in.... it is pretty late. -Alex

Trojans fall 4-0, their first time shut out this year. The worst effort of the season for sure, but it's tough to blame them. They came off a hard fought 5-2 win over Long Beach State last night and looked flat. The team was shortstaffed defensively, missing Ozaki, Schauffhausen, and Gawlik. But the big loss was Michael Joyce. Just like USC was a different team without Ryder Fyrwald last season, they're a different team without the Joyce-Lofthus combo. They were also missing Frazier and had to move Nijjar back to defense for the first half of the game. This combination plus early-in-the-period goals given up by Carcich led to a 4-0 loss that looked as bad as the scoreline. It's a bad way to go into the break and not a great Holiday present for the team going into winter break. The Trojans' next game is January 16th at home against Cal State Fullerton followed by a rematch against LMU. There are only 8 more games left until Pac-8's for USC... we're definitely in the home stretch. Check over break for a new Wilbur Show. We'll try and get that up sometime over the break. Other than that, see everyone in a month! Happy Holidays!!! Thanks to all of you who make what I do worthwhile (and special thanks to Nicole Vierzba for the great home-baked goods) -Alex
