Hey everyone, USC vs. UCLA tonight down in El Segundo. Trojans coming off of a well-played series last weekend at home. They look to take the first game of a five-game series played for the Crosstown Cup. Although USC has dominated in recent series, UCLA actually won the last game in the series, last season's Game 5, in a shocker that almost kept USC out of the Pac-8 tournament. Always interesting in these rivalry games.... Puck drops at 8:45 PST and you can post your comments and questions here and I'll try to get to them during the broadcast. -Alex

USC wins 4-2.... After a sloppy first two periods, the Trojans woke up just enough to score three goals in the third (one empty netter) to avoid the upset and take Game 1 of the Crosstown Cup. The first line stepped up huge in period three, scoring all three goals (Joyce, Lofthus, and Roth each getting one, with Roth getting the game winner). Coach Wilbur will be happy his team pulled it out, but expects more come Saturday against a very good Long Beach State team. Official Goals and Scoring coming up soon. -Alex
