Hey guys, Big football win for USC today. The hockey Trojans will try and build on that momentum and get the sweep tonight following a 3-1 win. Broadcast from Anaheim Ice starts at 7:30 PM. Early indications are McLinn, Ozaki, and Frazier will be out for the Trojans tonight while ASU starting goalie from last night Justin Khan will miss tonight's game while 3 ASU players return from a suspension.
Should be a good one. Roster is posted up on the other forum for those of you looking to follow the game at home. Anyone with questions/comments, feel free to post them here. Talk to you in a half hour! -Alex

3-2 USC after one. The Trojans makeshift second line is making some noise out there. They have two powerplay goals for the Trojans. Nijjar with one and Comisar with the other. Roth getting another goal with the assist going to Lofthus. If USC locked down a little more defensively, they'd be in much better shape... The big play is beating them at this point. We'll see what ASU does with their backup netminder Gorecki after a somewhat shaky first. 2nd period not long from now.

6-4 USC after two. The powerplay and that first line has been absolutely clutch. Be back for the third soon.

6-6 tie.... Interestingly enough, after talking to Commissioner Roger Kulpa, Pac-8 rules don't allow for a tie, so the shootout may be played before ASU and USC's next game Jan. 23. From what I've heard this may have been part of ASU protesting their status as a Pac-8 team (having to do with them losing the Pac-8 tournament during the offseason). Oddly though, Pac-8 and ACHA rules don't allow for ties so even if ASU successfully determined they weren't a Pac-8 team, the shootout should've still been played. Great game for USC, the first line was tremendous and Comisar and Nijjar both played their asses off on the second line. Posting official goal scorers in the next few minutes.
