Yeah Tom.... A lot of pressure by SDSU and not enough chemistry from the Trojans is keeping USC on their heels. Really only one good scoring opportunity for the Trojans so far. Buttweiller is USC's saving grace at the moment.

They did.... I was going to comment on it, but I wasn't completely positive that Carvaggio was wearing #22 (which he is). It looks like the pairings right now are: Stallsmith, Bush Carvaggio, Ozaki Lewis, Gawlik.
A big mixup, especially separating Ozaki and Lewis. Szentveri and Nguyen seem to be switching spots pretty consistently... Second period starting soon... (Van Halen on right now baby!)

Was it a problem on my end or your end? Lane Smith, the offensive defenseman scored two goals for the Aztecs, one of them shorthanded. The score is reflecting about how well this game is going for USC. Aztecs are outskating and outplaying the Trojans right now. Buttweilled wants one of those back, but in general he's faced a lot of odd-man rushes and great chemistry from the Aztecs is generating most of these goals.

It wasn't much better in person Tom.... Not much Buttweiller could do. Trojans have a lot of the same problems they did last season and really need to crank up the chemistry and intensity. Too many bad turnovers in their own zone. It's tough to completely judge USC by this game. SDSU is new to Division II, but finished second in the nation at the Division III level last season. We'll see what happens against ASU, that might tell us more about how the Trojans really are this year.
