5 minutes into the game the Trojans have come out strong, but are having trouble clearing out the front of the net. They have been very physical though matching Long Beach check for check Score tied 0-0

Long Beach strikes first with 14:14 remaining in the first #6 Matt Rusdin with the goal through a very screened Caravaggio, consequences of the Trojans continued inability to clear out the front of the net

USC strikes back as Dante Caravaggio makes his presence known early, notching in first goal of the year to tie it up. Great energy being shown by the Trojans third line of Max Szentveri, Derek Peters, and Max Ernst #2 Caravaggio from #5 Peters and #9 Szentveri

With 5 left in the period, USC continues to show a lot of life against what looks like an overly cocky LBSU team. The Trojans, overall, are playing a very strong defensive game and making some much smarter plays than what we've seen from them in the fall semester. Let's hope they carry this momentum for all 60 minutes

USC catches a very unlucky break as Beau Selisker tried to pass it behind the net but instead put it right in the net. Goal credited to #19 Sean Hoang Overall, USC has started this period strong again, but Long Beach is beginning to take control. USC really needs to step it up

After 10 have gone by in the 2nd, SC has started to step it up, lead by an excellent shift by the 4th line of Justin Bieber, Elliot Dawson, and Sherwood Egbert, culminating in an excellent hit from Bieber

With 5 left in the 2nd, USC is still down 2-1, but have started to really battle back against this 49ers team, thanks mostly to Freshman goalie Alex Caravaggio, who is playing an unbelievable game so far
