Great game - and USC took ONE penalty and that one a simultaneous one - what a change - The ASU announcers kept saying that USC diffently looked like they wanted it more tonight what a great turn around - did they have a team meeting I wonder?

Yah...great job Trojans! I'm glad to here it. I said last night on the air (as well as about 30 more times this season, that they need to stay out of the box). Seems to have paid of tonight. Hopefully 'SC comes out with the same fire and intensity tomrorw.

Note to Wilbur: If you need some locker room material for tomorrow night, their announcers continually noted that our team was "slow." Hmmmm.

Andrew Clark, the kid who played last night, played in goal tonight. He WAS wearing Buttweiler's number

My scouts for tomorrow's game report that David Foley will be the starting goalie...take this with a grain of salt....but....
Anyway, same deal tomorrow. Go to ASU's broadcast, as we will 99% not be having ours again tomorrow. Keep the post updated though. Thanks, and enjoy!

Hey folks!
Just got settled in at the hotel after we went out for a fantastic postgame meal at Denny's (the only joint open for dinner in the area at midnight...sad, I know).
I have to say, this was the best game we've played all year outside of maybe the second SJSU game. The first period was a back and forth battle, and Clark really kept us in it with some big saves. The fact that we didn't take any penalties was HUGE though.
We really took over in the second. Aside from that late ASU goal (with a little over a minute left in the period) it was pretty much all SC.
The third was where the game really turned into a circus. ASU's goalie did an admirable job, but the offense stayed patient and we finally started to see some chemistry...particularly with the top line of Joyce-Fyrwald-Lofthus. Fyrwald had two goals and Joyce and Lofthus were their usual dynamic selves.
And how about Stallsmith with the game-winner? Just caught the goalie off-guard by throwing the puck at the net and found a hole.
ASU is actually a pretty good team. Their top line has a couple guys I believe who at one point were on their D-I team. Plenty of speed...Clark did a terrific job. Set the bar high for me tomorrow.
We expect ASU to come out fired up looking to avenge that 5-1 loss...it should be a great game.
As for us being "slow"...I think our play and the final score speak for themselves.
One last shoutout to the defense though, they have played great for a couple weeks running now. Keeping us in games till the offense starts clicking. Once this team is running on all cylinders and all the injured guys are back lookout.
Hopefully we'll come back with another strong performance tomorrow, and good luck to the football team against the Ducks!
Fight on!

boys....sorry I missed you last evneing. I'm in chicago with my older son and we were having too much fun bar hoping to take time out for the game. spoke to michael afterwards and it sounded like a good win. thought it might be a tougher game. not sure I'll get to listen today but we'll see.
good luck to the trojans vs. the ducks today and hopefully we'll be able to duplicate last night success on the ice.

Anyone hearing the game? I can't get the feed working... Great job by the Trojans last night taking it to the Devils. Glad to hear that we're getting some chemistry going and that we're avoiding dumb penalties.

goldsmith...If oyu have a mac it won't work....speaking of which, I'd love it if someone would update the discussion board with what is happening in the game since I (and any others with a mac) can't hear it.

If I heard him correctly, they're just cleaning the ice...game didn't start yet. Broadcaster (Kyle) is "away" for a while. ....still nothing happening.
Players on the ice...getting ready to begin.
1st Period ASU scores...1 - 0 Sounds like whoever is wearing Buttweiler's shirt is in goal. ASU scores again...2 - 0 ASU hooking....USC on Power Play End of 1st period: 2 - 0 ASU ahead
